Lauren's shower

I went to my friend, Lauren Tingle's, baby shower a couple weeks ago and had so much fun catching up with sweet friends!! I love this picture of Gail, Rhonda, Katelyn, Melissa & Macie.

I used to babysit these beautiful girls when I was in high school and now they are so grown up!! Melissa is married and in PT school and Macie is about to be a freshman at Tarleton State!!

Noni (Carson's mom) came to keep Charlie for a week at the beginning of the month. For a special treat one night (when it was sooo hot outside) we went to one of our local favorite spots. Charlie's first taste of ice cream was at Curly's here in FW. We always love it!!

Visit to Marshall

Charlie and I made a quick trip over the last weekend in July to see my parents. Carson staying in FW to work on his MBA class... we all missed him being there!

Yes, this is a picture of our child playing with the toilet cap. If you're reading this, please do not de-friend us. When I'm getting ready in the morning, I bring Charlie in the bathroom with me to play. I bring a few toys to keep him busy but he quickly crawls away from his toys and goes straight towards this little cap on the toilet. I seriously hope this is not a sign of his future profession as a plumber.... better yet, maybe it's a sign he'll be an engineer!

His other favorite appliance is the dishwasher. Are we seeing a trend here?

It's always a treat to go home. My mom and I went into town on Saturday to have lunch and visit one of my favorite children's clothing shops. We bought Charlie some of the cutest little swim trunks for next summer too... you'll just have to wait until summer 2011 to see them!

Our Bear loves strawberries so much and I think he's going to turn into one!!

I love these next few pictures. This outfit is one of Carson's from when he was little and the Happy Apple that Charlie is playing with was mine as a little girl. So it's kind of like a vintage photo with the old John John outfit and the Happy Apple!!

Visit from the Branaghs...

My 29th birthday

I posted earlier that we went to dinner with some friends on my actual birthday, but then I also had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday with two of my favorite girls... no husbands and no babies. It was so fun! ...well, except that Ashley told us that night that they are moving to Austin :( Sad for us, but happy for their family. Sorry these pictures are a little blurry (taken with my small camera that is soon to croak)

New babies

Two precious babies were born in July and August....

First was Preston Matthew Gibson born July 3rd. His mom, Alissa, and I became friends at TCU while in nursing school together. We have both worked at Cook Children's Hospital for since we graduated and have remained good friends. I was hoping that he would arrive on my birthday, but he came on his own time! He is a precious little boy and we're so happy for Matt and Alissa!!! Boys are such a blessing. (Sorry t

Then on August 5th Madeline Andress Morris arrived!! Her parents, Jeffrey and Allison, are so special to us. Jeffrey is Carson's best friend from high school and Allison is my best friend from UT. Actually, I don't know if our family would exist without those two.... because Carson and I met through Jeffrey and Allison. We have not met Mattie Ann yet but I'm literally DYING to hold and kiss on that baby girl!!!!!!! Jeffrey and Alli, hope to see y'all in the next few weeks and I'll post pictures when we finally get to love on her. For more pictures of that beautiful angel, check out their blog here.
