11 weeks

I went to the doctor yesterday and everything was great. I always think it's fun to read about what's going on with the baby so I copied this from BabyCenter.com and thought I'd share:

"Your baby, just over 1 1/2 inches long and about the size of a fig, is now almost fully formed. Her hands will soon open and close into fists, tiny tooth buds are beginning to appear under her gums, and some of her bones are beginning to harden.

She's already busy kicking and stretching, and her tiny movements are so effortless they look like water ballet. These movements will become more frequent as her body grows and becomes more developed and functional. You won't feel your baby's acrobatics for another month or two — nor will you notice the hiccupping that may be happening now that her diaphragm is forming."

We will found out if it's a he or a she May 28th!! Crazy that I get to be part of one of God's little miracles!

Sunny San Diego

I went on my first airplane ride prego! Of course, no problems. I traveled with four of my girlfriends to San Diego for a quick trip. We attended a review course in preparation for my big comprehensive boards exam this fall. We were in class for two whole days but managed to fit in a little shopping the day we arrived. I'm in the picture with Lindsey & Meredith. Below is Autumn (prego too) and Brandi. Yes, all 5 of us were in ONE hotel room! Cozy but fun!!










Lindsey & I went to the infamous San Diego Zoo the day we left and had so much fun!!
The giraffe on the front is prego too! Sorry I just thought it was crazy that a six foot tall giraffe was in there!









How about those awesome student badges we had to wear? I know, you wish you had one too!! My mom was almost excited as we were that we got to see the panda! He was very cute but much smaller than I expected. We finished off the zoo with a little gondala ride to the top and back down! I ate a lot and just caught up on my sleep when I got back! :) I feel much more prepared for the test too!!

Carson get ready!!!

A friend emailed this to me and of course I thought about Carson getting ready to be a father this fall. Hope he doesn't have this hard of a time. Since I've been dealing with poopy diapers for the past 4 years at the hospital I think I can handle it! Carson has only had to deal with 1 huge accident from Copper. And to recap... we were both wearing masks, had all the windows and doors open and were still gagging! :) Lord help us!! :)

First baby gift!

Well, as I arrived to class today to take a comprehensive exam, I was trying to stay calm! Let me tell you... my heart was beating out of chest because I was so nervous about this test. I also knew I needed to stay calm because I have this little baby inside of me. My sweet friend (who is also about 34 wks pregnant - under my blogspot list of The Marables) said her baby was seriously kicking from her stress too! We were talking about the exam and then my book fell off the table onto this little bag. I said, "Oh I'm sorry, I crushed your cute little bag!" Then she informed me... it was for me!! Yippee!! To relieve the tension of the test, I opened it and received my first gift for the baby! She said she gave it to me since we will have a little October baby. It's too cute and wanted to show it off to everyone. Oh and in case you were wondering... both the babies are fine & we both think the test went very well! Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!

How am I feeling?

Many of you have asked... "How are you feeling?"

I'm hesitant to say... but GREAT! It may be a little early to make that statement, so I will keep you posted if my status quickly changes. For now here are the few signs that I know I'm prego:

1. I'm super, super tired! Before this, I could easily sleep 9-10 hrs, but I'm breaking records sleeping 12 to 12 1/2 hrs a night when I get the chance!! That's half of a day!!

2. My stomach growls 2 hrs after I eat... so I just eat again! (But as of now, I'm not nauseous)

3. And I had a sonogram that confirmed a little heart beating inside my belly! (Probably the most accurate of all the signs, right?)

Other than that, the Andersons are good! Thanks for all of the sweet notes/emails from everyone. Carson is still looking for a job, but if anyone has suggestions or connections email us!

GUESS WHAT???

We are very, very happy to tell everyone that we're expecting our first baby October 22, 2009!!!!! Seriously, we are still in shock ourselves. Carson and I are super excited and really looking forward to having a little Anderson. I haven't quite figured out this whole blog thing, but we will be updating it when we can, so save it to your favorites to stay updated on our little fam!

This is a little gift that I gave Carson about 3 weeks ago when we found out. He's already excited about having a little Tech fan to watch the games with this fall!

We were waiting to tell everyone until we went to the doctor (yesterday). Our little guy is 1cm long and had a great check-up. :)

Humbly we ask for prayer for all three of us. For the baby's health and development, for my health and perseverance as I finish up grad school in August and for Carson who is still searching for a job (after two months). Your prayers mean more than anything to us now!! Thank you.
