Charlie and I made these cute valentines for our family members.  It was a cute idea I found on Pinterest!  Which reminds me, I need to actually make some more of their cute ideas...

Some condos are being built down the street from our house and Charlie refers to them as the "pipes".  He asks every single day, without fail, to go see the pipes.  When we pull in the driveway he says, "GO SEE DA PIPES!!"

Charlie has a new obsession with construction trucks.  Don't worry, he still has a strong love for his trains... he just likes both now, which is good for mommy and daddy's sanity. Do you think he's excited about the excavator?  I love that cute boy.

Our sweet friends, Lauren & Berkeley, came over for a visit with us to the zoo.  Charlie seriously adored Miss Berkeley!!  She is too cute for words.

Happy New Year!!!!!!!!

Our mom's group did this painting one day of all of our children's feet for an art outreach project. This was about halfway through so it's missing about 5 pairs of feet. They ended up not using it for the outreach project but we hope to donate it to our church. It turned out so cute!! We wanted to put Romans 10:15 with it, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!"

On New Year's Day, we went to San Antonio to see some of our best friends Jeff, Allison & Mattie. (Jeff and Allison introduced Carson and me) This picture truly captures it all! Mattie and Charlie were on the move and had a blast!

January is always so much fun in FW. We love going to see all of the animals at the FW Stock Show and Charlie had a fantastic time this year.

After the rodeo, we attempted to go to the petting zoo and ride the ponies. It was super crowded so we left.... that's when Charlie cried the entire way home saying "wide horsy with Wy Wy, peas" over and over and over. I told him that we would go back on Tuesday. As I promised, we went back when nobody was there. It was breast cancer awareness day at the rodeo, so he had a special pony to ride... a PINK one!! It's not every day you get to ride a pink pony. Here's Charlie and Wyatt for their first ever pony ride:

A little shout-out to his grandparents:

Charlie's favorite activities at school are playing in the block center and with the legos in the math center. I started working only two days a week in December and Charlie is much happier now when he goes to school. He actually looks forward to his two days playing with his friends. Four days was just too much.

My friend, Whitney (and my boss at work), has a little boy in the classroom next to Charlie's at school. I asked Charlie "who taught you to twirl your hair like that?" "Weswey" aka, Wesley is Whitney's son. It started out as a cute little habit where he twirled his hair while in the car or watching TV and this is how to would look (see below), but unfortunately it is now a bad habit. I learned about this in nurse practitioner school. Trichotillomania: the habit of pulling out your hair. Charlie has it. He started off twirling (just like my brother used to do growing up) and now he twirls it and pulls it out.... oh brother!! Bear looks kinda silly with a bald spot right on the top of his head. Any suggestions on how to stop this bad habit?

Uncle Andrew came to visit and play (everyone asks where Charlie gets his blonde hair... Uncle Andrew of course!)

I bought Carson a HUGE gummy bear from Dylan's Candy Bar while I was in NYC and gave it to him for Christmas. Well, we decided to open it and taste it in January. Charlie and Daddy sharing a bite:

The huge thing was a little chewy so he only took a few bites but it made for some cute pictures!

Ms. Maria from his class had to teach Charlie to put stamps on the paper and not his face and arms:

Such a cute little boy moment... We were playing with his animals and Charlie was eating his breakfast. He placed this cereal piece in the lion's mouth and walked away. I guess the lion was hungry.

I didn't teach him to eat apples like this. He just started doing it one day. I think he picked it up from some of the older kids at school ;)

These are Charlie's two best friends from his class, Connor and Ezra. All blondies. Connor turned 3 and about a month after his birthday party he moved up to the preschool class so Charlie was sad to see him leave.
