November 2011

Again sorry these are out of order. We made a few trips to the zoo while the weather was still pretty. Charlie loves fish, alligators and he's not afraid of the snakes!!
Looking at the fish
Charlie hugging the fake lizard
One of our little friends, Broadie, had a train birthday so Charlie was in HEAVEN!! They even had a little mini train that drove the kids around in their yard.
With some of his friends, Claire, Cooper and Caroline (I just realized they all start with a C)
We had our picture made with Thomas... you would have thought he just had his picture made with George Bush!!
We couldn't get enough of the party favors either... this kid is obsessed with everything TRAINS!!!
We went with our friends, the McLeans, to their ranch one night too so all the boys could duck hunt. Bear had a blast playing with Matthew and then we had a little dance party in their barn that night with strobe lights!! Charlie wore himself out!! (The other picture from this weekend is on the iPad... Charlie and Matthew had a blast)
Carson and I went to Charlie's Thanksgiving lunch party (Wednesday before) and enjoyed our little date with him. (again another picture on my next post)
Benjamin came to play and take a bath with Charlie
Charlie has a new obsession with peanut butter. Not only on peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, but also just plain on a spoon! He used to call PB&Js a "pa j" and then called it a "peter j" and now he calls it "peter butter j"... too cute!
Carson went with our friend Chris to pheasant hunt in Kansas the second weekend in November so Charlie and I headed to Marshall for a fun get away.

Papa Jess reading to Charlie and Izzie
We tried to get a few pictures of these sweet little cousins together and this is how it went...
Then they started giggling...
Then Charlie gave Izzie a kiss...
And Izzie thought it was silly!
Gigi taking a walk by the trains with the nuggets. (look at C's mouth, you can see him saying "choo choo!!")
Izzie didn't like the trains but Charlie was mesmerized!
Papa Jess (in the tractor on the left by the tree) took hay out to feed the cows and Charlie was squealing with excitement! (And as you can see in this picture, he's wearing underwear and pretty well potty trained.) He has recently become very intrigued by tractors, bulldozers, etc. so this was thrilling for him! He talked about it for a few days after we left.
Charlie and Papa Jess playing in the dirt
Shelby came over to play too
This is the Tonka dump truck that Carson gave Charlie for Christmas 2010 and he still loves it. It's great for playing in the dirt, transporting toys and for pushing down big hills!
Charlie is going to kill me one day because I posted this, but it was just way too cute to pass up. This momma is proud of her little boy learning to pee outside!! Who wouldn't be??
Good times on the tire swing
Bear loved driving around and figured out how to go backwards too. He loved using the keys and pretended the car wouldn't move without the keys in tow and he loved to say "Mommy Charie parked it" (He calls himself Charie instead of Charlie)

Painting with Mommy
This is Charlie's note from school on 11/18/11. If you look closely on the left (drum roll please) he had dry underwear all day with NO accidents!! (proud Mommy) And the note below says he put the color coded balls into colored holes. He's really got his colors down.

The week of Thanksgiving we set up the Christmas tree. Sweet memories. Charlie just had a ball decorating the tree while we played Christmas music and drank chocolate milk.
He was very serious about his work and hung them all very close together.
Sweet boy
Silly reindeer
Carson and I were both able to get off work the Friday after Thanksgiving so we headed to Kerrville to celebrate our blessings... especially the blessing below.
Cooking with Noni and Boppa
Charlie and Uncle Landon playing on the iPad
Andrew and Carson cooking the turkey
Charlie didn't want any turkey so we went with a PB&J... everyone's favorite Thanksgiving meal, right?
Cutest nugget around
Playing in the sandbox with Boppa
Reading books with Noni
Boppa always builds the best train tracks EVER!! We had to peel him off the floor everyday to take a bath or go to sleep. We came home with some bruises on his legs from playing so hard!
It's not baby jail... it's a crib with a tired boy.
Then we set up Noni and Boppa's Christmas tree. He had just as much fun the second time around.

Helping Daddy cook dinner
(we can hardly cook or do anything on the counter without him wanting to be right beside us and helping)
This is...
GOOD!!!!!!!
Loves his chocolate (almond) milk!! Can you tell?
Milk kisses are the best
We've learned that Charlie likes to be clean just like his Mommy (see note at the bottom from school):
Charlie and Vivian after Finn's construction birthday party... holding hands. I'm not sure if it gets any more precious. Yes, my child hoarded all the stickers!
