I'll be the first to admit... Carson and I were hesitant about taking Charlie to Fossil Rim for fear of the heat, long car lines, huge crowds and Charlie being overwhelmed and wanting to leave. We left the house at 8am, had a little Chick-fil-a breakfast, and made it to the park by 9:15am! We were shocked to see that only 5 other cars were there that early.
Because you drive so slow through the park, Charlie was able to ride in my lap
"Feed me!"
So apparently Charlie wasn't afraid!
Carson was loving it too
Charlie petting the deer
Why, hello there!!
He wanted a ride
We opened the sunroof to see the beautiful giraffes
I loved her eyelashes!
She saw the food!
And then was inside our car!! We have giraffe hair on the inside of my car as proof!!
Charlie sweetly petting the giraffe
Look at her body through the front windshield and you can see how close she was to our car
Her whole head in our car!!
More Charlie love
This was another one
Roan Antelope
The scary ostrich
Charlie trying to lure him in with some food
The only other female that Carson is allowed to kiss
Red deer
The precious baby giraffe. I seriously wanted to put her in my car and bring her home to live in my backyard. SO CUTE!!!!!!
Rhino
Charlie's driving... he may need some practice:
Feeding the crazy ostrich... the very end of the clip is the best part:
Needless to say, we had a wonderful time, we were home by noon and can't wait to take Charlie back!
