Poling Ranch/4th of July weekend

We spent a fun weekend in Amarillo and then all day on Saturday (July 3rd) at Carson's grandfather's ranch (Poling Ranch in Fritch, TX). I think this was the 4th annual cousins' reunion! It's always fun to see everyone and this year Charlie and Haley were the new additions to the group. From left to right: Conrad, Charlie, Shelby, Haley in Carly's lap, and Audrey in Genny's lap.
This was my favorite picture from the weekend! Carly is precious and growing up fast!
Landon being silly with Conrad and Carly
We all went plum pickin' too!
Yum! I wish Granny Nelle was still with us to make some plum jelly.
Walt (Carson's grandfather) warned us about the rattlesnakes... then Landon almost stepped on this one!!!!!!! Good thing these boys always have their guns with them. It was 57 inches long!! Gross!!!!!!!
Happy 4th of July from us!!
Charlie meeting Walt :)
Our family picture by the sign this year... last year I was prego and on crutches!!
For a fun activity for all the cousins, Monica had the genius idea to play the alphabet game! We went around the ranch and found different letters from the alphabet. We had multiples of many letters but then Meredith put the best ones together for this poster. How cute is this? (Click on it for a larger view) The dead snake even made it into the poster as an "E". :)
We had our 2nd annual "crap swap" too! Monica wrote about her finds here. Do you remember those pillows that I used to make in college? Well, they are now Shelby and Haley's jewels!! I scored some cute Pottery Barn bumper pads that I'm going to use for the crib at my parents' house!

Cute post! Thanks for including Carly! That is a cute photo of her. Carly has 2 of your pillows on her bed now and they look great. Glad you were able to use the crib bumpers. Crap swap is the new recycling!

Hi! I came to your blog from my friend, Mindy Rives' blog. Your monogramming is too cute! Could you tell me what type of machine you have? I have been in the market, but don't know exactly what I need yet. Thanks!

I love the crap swap.

The poster is so fun!

I have been working on finding things around our first house to spell our name. It will be a fun keepsake!
