Can you believe this was me October 19th, 2009? (Well, because in case you forgot... I WAS in labor for 23 1/2 hours!!!!!!!!!)
Here is our sweet Charlie last year on his birthday!

Charlie turned one October 20th, 2010! This are a few photos on a day-in-the-life of Charlie's first birthday. (I copied my friend, SB's blog and took some pics throughout the day of our sweet bear). Here he is waking up, I apologize for the bright flash, honey!
Drinking his goat's milk from his bottle (which we finally dropped the bottle October 27th after only trying 4 different sippy cups!) Of course he's holding his duck call at the same time.
Birthday breakfast, which included his favorite... STRAWBERRIES, and grapes, eggs, and cheerios! (no we didn't stick with the sippy cup that's pictured)
Lunch at Central Market with daddy, Ashley K., Mac and Lilla
(I think he looks SOOOO grown up in this picture)
This is what he does with his food when he doesn't like something. Haha!! It's really hard not to laugh. He apparently did not like the blackberry.
Mac and Lilla enjoying the birthday boy's lunch
My beautiful family
Charlie's first time to wear jeans was on his birthday! :)
Playing with Uncle Justus
Bath time (love those sweet eyes)
Precious picture of the birthday boy
Our big boy
Well, we made the mistake of going out of order on his birthday. We bathed him and THEN fed him dinner. Oops! As we were fixing his dinner we fed him some cornbread as a little appetizer. We turned around and he had done this to his CLEAN hair with his cornbread... (Doesn't he look a smidge mischievous?)
Carson was pretending that Charlie was a newborn and swaddled the bear on his birthday and had a few laughs together before bedtime.
Charlie, you have brought only joy and laughter into our lives over this past year. We pray everyday for your continued health and happiness and for your salvation! We love you so much!!
Charlie's stats from his one year doctor appointment:
Weight=20 lbs 8 oz (23th percentile)
Height=31 inches (89th percentile)
Head circumference=18 3/4 inches (87th percentile)
Charlie at 12 months:
Still long and skinny like his dad! :)
Just babbles, but doesn't say any distinct words with meaning.
Signs "all done", "milk", claps when we say "yay" and loves to play the drums.
Eats only table food with milk and water to drink (no juice).
Still takes 2 good long naps everyday and sleeps 11-12 hours every night.
Pulls up on everything and cruises along furniture but not standing alone.
Loves to laugh, wrestle, be tickled, and roll the ball and can stack 4-5 blocks on top of each other.
Walks all over the house with his walker.
Snuggles all the time.
Wave hi and bye-bye.
Gives good slobbery kisses only when HE wants to.
Sings with me in the car and when I put him to bed.
Good at blowing his duck call (his gift from his daddy for his birthday was his own engraved duck call)
Loves to play with his friends at school, church and on play dates.
Puts everything into compartments (toys into his box or bucket, bath toys into the cup, etc), I think he likes organization like his mom! Maybe he'll be an engineer like his Papa Jess!! :)
