Carson and I bravely took our first trip away from Charlie for the first time January 5th-9th. We drove to Taos, NM for skiing, good food and some relaxation. We needed it! It was pretty hard being away from Charlie but my sweet mom took great care of him while we were gone.
This was our second time to Taos and we loved it! Perfect sunny weather, great accommodations at Cottonwood Inn B&B, and excellent food!! The B&B made us some fabulous breakfasts with fresh eggs from their chickens every morning. It's in Carson National Forest so of course we had to take a picture. We never got any pictures of where we ate, but if you're going to make a trip to Taos eat at these places (in this order): The Love Apple, Graham's Grill, and Lambert's.

We laughed for about 20 minutes when we saw this picture... catching some serious air!

Stopping for a break. One day while we were skiing I wore my heart rate monitor and I burned 2050 calories!! How awesome is that??

When we were leaving Taos we stopped at Gutiz for a sandwich. Seriously one of the best sandwiches of my life!! If you're in Taos for lunch eat the sweet brie sandwich!!
Wonderful trip but we were happy to be home with our bear!!! Thanks again, Mom, we love you!!!!
