January 2011

Ok.... sooooo sorry for the delay in posting. I'm BAAAAACK! We have been busy these past few months!! Here's a little of what we did in January (oh and Charlie turned 15 months old):

My Debbie's son, Jack, turned 4!! I love that little booger!
Carson with Tucker and Charlie (Tucker turned 1 in February too! All the boys are getting too big!)
Our friends, the Kovacs, were in town so we enjoyed a little Central Market lunch with them!
Charlie went to the FW Stock show for the first time too! He said "Doooo" (meaning "moo") about a hundred times in the cattle barns. He loves his cows!!
Hook 'em!! (ironically these are Aggie cows... look behind my head)
We enjoyed looking at all of the animals with our sweet friends, the Triggers
We had a playdate/brunch at Vivian's house with a few friends (from left to right): Caleb, William, Charlie, Vivian, Luke & Hank (Emme Cate not pictured)
Carson and I scored the best seats EVER at the rodeo (dirt-side) with our friends, the Bakers!! We made some new friends too, Lane and Kyle! We had a blast, Bakers, thanks again!!!! (Even though it always makes me sneeze, I love me some FW RODEO!!)
The next day we went to the rodeo with Carson's family.
Justus and his sweet girlfriend, Caroline
Gary & Wendy
Me and Carson
Charlie has been having a fun time playing with Daddy.
My handsome boys are all smiles
Being silly!
Seriously having a blast!!
And upside-down!!! (yes, he has 12 teeth!)
We used this picture (below) and put it on some cute Valentine cards to mail to Charlie's friends. How can you not be happy when you see that face?? (Even though this is in my January update, HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!! xoxo- CHARLIE) I just can't get enough of that yummy little face. Makes me happy every single day!! (his Valentine is still hanging on the front of my locker at work, so I see it multiple times through out the day)
Charlie's really, really long hair (Boppa and Papa Jess were really concerned that Charlie got a haircut, don't worry he got one in March)
Being silly in the tub!
Watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, eating a snack, and holding his SACRED lovie! When the "Hot Dog" song comes on, he gets up and starts dancing, then looks at us... cuing us to join in on the dancing. Justus, Carson and I sometimes get a little out-of-control with it... which of course makes him smile.
Reading books with Daddy. The little Bear loves to books. We have a drawer full of books in the living room and it's the first thing he goes for when he wakes up and when gets home.
Caroline and Justus reading Bear's books :) I might also add that these two are our favorite babysitters too.... Love you both!!
Charlie loves peanut butter on anything, including bananas (I know we're supposed to avoid it until he's 2 years old... but I went against my pediatric nurse practitioner knowledge and the only reaction from eating it is: happiness!)
Yes, he made a little quilt at school for his Gigi!! If you know my mom, you know she's made a few quilts in her days.... but probably nothing as fancy as this one. :) Yes, that's real fabric... plus glue and I think the colors complement each other very well.
Bear did not like the idea of wearing my boots
Charlie also started saying two syllable words too! Such as "duh-dle" which is "bubble" and "tuh-tul" which is "turtle"! It's the cutest darn thing I've ever heard. If you've noticed the trend of bathtub pictures its because he actually sits still in the tub and the picture isn't just a blur!!
I love this particular artwork from his school and I think its' beautiful! What do you think? I'm saving this one with those cute little fingerprints all over it.
This one, on the other hand, is pretty in it's own little way. The teacher said it was a heart-shaped sponge... kinda hard to see ;) Looks like an elephant to me. (more about elephants in the February post)
Again, reading books. But what is cute about this picture is the bib. It's not just your everyday bib... Charlie walks into the kitchen each day, opens the drawer where the bibs are, pulls one out, brings it to us, we put it on, then he walks over to the drawer by the dishwasher, bangs on it, saying "uh uh" and looks at us, then we get out his vitamin and he happily takes it and eats it! He L.O.V.E.S. those vitamins!! Too stinkin' cute... a vitamin bib. (also shows that he's a creature of habit)
The Pfaffs, Carson's cousin and her family, and his Aunt Linda and Uncle Jeff came over for lunch one day while Noni and Boppa were in town.... so they could all meet Caroline! Charlie had lots of fun playing with Haley and Shelby.
January was busy.... hopefully I can update you on February soon!

Great update! Few things- am in the Neurology clinic with Lindsey right now and many times I find myself looking out the window seeing the kids playing across the street and swear I've seen Charlie! But then again, I don't know if they even take his age group outside, ha!
2) I went to Baylor with Hillary Prine and that was surprising to see a familiar face. Didn't know her that well, just faces are familiar at Baylor! :)
3) How cute are those pictures of Justus and Caroline? Love it!
