September 2011

Carson went fishing with his dad, his dad's friend and his cousin, Robert in South Fork, Colorado over Labor day weekend and had a great time. Most of all he loved the weather, the fishing and the fellowship.
My handsome hubby
Isn't this beautiful?!?! I can't wait to go one day and see it with my own eyes.
Gary (Carson's dad) in Creede
Alise is pregnant with Aubrey Kate and I'm soooo excited!! These girls are so special and dear to me for many, many reasons. I grew up with Lauren and Alise in Marshall, and we became really close with them in high school. Over the years, I have treasured my friendships with them and long for the next time I get to see them. Here I am with them at my baby shower and then here we are together at Lauren's baby shower. Love you both sweet girls, you're both a blessing to me!!
Charlie's cat artwork from school. He started his new transitions classroom right after Labor day and his vocabulary has EXPLODED!! He's with kids who have turned two but haven't started preschool yet. He's even starting potty training... YAY!!!!!!
Charlie and Caroline taking a bath. These two are little lovebirds :)
Then playing a little duet on the piano together
Our friends, the Kovacs, were in town for Labor day too! Charlie and Lilla on the slide
This is Charlie eating spaghetti.... HILARIOUS!!
He loved it!!
Charlie and Wyatt at the zoo. Loved the elephants as always!
Riding the carosel with Wyatt and Natalie. After that, poor Wyatt was stung on his finger by a bee. Apparently it was a traumatic event for the little guy because Natalie said he has continued to randomly bring up "Charie horsey up down up down bee owwwie"... we laughed that he's going to need therapy.
Bear loved it
At Benjamin's birthday party, Charlie looking super cute that day!
Benjamin and Charlie bouncing and being silly together
Our small group had a cookout one night at the Bakers. Vivan looking gorgeous!!
Adorable Luke
Charlie and William making a mess
My dear friend, Hilary (great hostess I might add)
Cute siblings, Emme Cate and William
The chef, Bryan made us some yummy burgers
We've been working on our sidewalk artwork too. Charlie is more of a supervisor, dictating what we need to draw for him.
Pre-haircut... it was out-of-control long!
Newsletter from his new classroom!
It finally rained!!!! So Bear wanted to play in it. The cutest thing was when we came inside, he looked out the front door and then looked out the back door, back and forth, then said "Two rain"!!! He considered it two seperate rains.
Every other month a few of us host dinner club at someone's home. September was mine, Molly, Allisen and Hilary's turn to host. Hilary graciously opened her home and we loved our time together! Great meal with great girls.
Katie, Courtney and Alison
Stacey, Ashley, Emily, Katie and Whitney
Katie, Amanda and me
I captured that innocent sweet baby face and just had to share it. How can you say no to that?
Playing outside in the driveway
The kid loves his peanut butter
Blowing duck calls with Daddy... before I know it, these two will be off hunting together on Saturday mornings. I can't believe how fast he's grown up!
Yes, he's finally peeing in the potty!! Whoo-hoo! (and he likes the tricycles at school too)
Eating with a spoon like a big boy! He loves to eat oatmeal with Daddy in the morning (in this picture, he's using his left hand, but he primarily uses his right).
At the zoo with a few friends, looking at the gorillas.
Vivian and Charlie enjoying the elephants again
Next to trains and Mickey Mouse, Bear is obsessed with slides!!! The best part of it is the static electricity he gets in his hair.
Oh and he loves stickers! We get the free Ducks Unlimited return address labels in the mail and he comes home almost every single day from school asking for a "duck sticka". So if you see a return address label on our kid, at least you know where to return him! Here he is posing like he's in a photo shoot for Ducks Unlimitied/Thomas the train (in his hand)!! I love that little smirk on his face, like he knows he's really cute.
Happy to have his trains and be at the playground!!
We hosted a shower for our sweet friend, Esther. We missed Grace not being there. Whitney, me, Effie, Kelly Kay, Esther with sweet Emery, and Emily.
Uncle Andrew came to visit and he likes to slide too!!
Artwork from school (very colorful)
More duck stickers :)
I lost count with how many haircuts Charlie has had.... we're on about once a month now. Sloan (my hairdresser) is the best!! We're so glad she's back from maternity leave. Charlie will now sit still in the chair if I bring the iPad and give him a sucker!

The sadest news of September (25th to be exact) is the beloved "lovie" blanket went bye-bye. One day I just could not handle keeping up with that thing anymore... much less seeing it hang out of his mouth all the time when he sucked his thumb. After his nap, I put all three (yes I said 3) in a box in the top of my closet. He asked for them a couple times each day that week and we just said "lovie when bye-bye". He would think about it and keep on with his business, easy as that. The positive side of the story is... he stopped sucking his thumb!!!!!! We're very excited about that. It was bittersweet, because it meant our baby is growing up. Now he just goes to bed with a blanket and still sleeps like an angel.

We're enjoying this cooler weather!! Happy Fall!!
